1. My new Aladdin plastic tumbler to-go cup with straw. Picked this lovely up at CVS for about zero dollars and it’s great. The straw is hard which hinders chewing but the cup has two layers so it won’t condensate all over my desk/car and my iced coffee stays cold! Fact that it’s called Aladdin: bonus!
2. SHAH-ZAYUM! This handy app identifies songs you are hearing by sending the soundwaves to magicians who know everything who in turn tell your phone the name of the song and artist. Black magic at its best. Also love going back and seeing what I have searched. Best recent find Click PLAY BUTTON.

4. My car. The Saab. We are pretty involved. I whisper sweet nothings to her while we careen down the 405. If I had a list of things I hate more than anything ever, California traffic/highways would be a solid #2 and 3, but this hot little number makes it so much better. She needs a name though…give it time, can’t be forced.

5. Beets. I am pretty into beets lately. They have some that are pre-peeled, pre-steamed and ready-for-devouring. Lazy! I used to love them as a young thing and then went a solid 10 years without them. I’m sorry beets. I never should have turned my back on you. Also love the murder-scene look the kitchen takes on after draining and slicing. Fun!THIS IS FOR KEEPING THE SPACEEEE

7. Alexander Ebert’s new album: Alexander. It is a happy-whistling-good-time-had-by-all-music-smile-fest. Alexander doesn’t know it yet, but we are the best whistling duo this country has never seen or heard. Trust me.
