What perfect timing! As I begin to write this post, a huge basket of Snookie’s Cookies and brownies and a carton of milk were just delivered. I was also sent a ridiculously amazing breakfast burrito from one of our commercial shoots. This was all in a 1 hour span.

hash browns inside…no big deal
This is the theme of the post: food. The sheer amount of food (and I mean good food) in the production business is just astonishing. I love it and I hate it.
If we weren’t in LA everyone would be 500 lbs. Thank god everyone has to follow that daily yoga ordinance.
Sadly we also waste a ton of it and if someone ever started a business where they drove from company to company collecting leftover catering and goodies we would have enough to feed a small nation in Africa…and possibly give them diabetes and heart conditions…but they’d be fed!
Hold on. I am interrupting myself to show you what is happening in our kitchen right now… This is a bit more action than usual…but LOOK:
absurd
I am used to seeing the heaps of food brought in for lunch and meetings because I sit right next to the kitchen and I always thought it was astonishing…then I went to a shoot. On set they bring around trays of goodies every hour. Then they serve amazing meals with tons of variety for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
So. Spoiled. I couldn’t handle it so I tried to take pictures of every snack brought around one day on set. I think I missed about 3 or 4 other ones but take a look below to see the decadence.

This doesn’t include the strawberry lemonade, limeade, or the pre-minted toothbrushes they hand out. I asked the man prepping these tasty treats how he plans his menu and he says he bases it on the crew and what they seem to be drawn towards. Impressive.
well, now I’m hungry and someone just said there’s chinese food…go figure.
